JOIN US FOR THE 2023 WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
Wednesday, January 18th marks the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity; eight days during which different Christian denominations throughout Rome and around the world join in common prayer to celebrate our faith in Jesus Christ and respond to his universal call.
The theme for this year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is “Do Good, Seek Justice”, inspired by Isaiah 1:12-18, which laments a lack of justice among the People of God. Yet it also promises redemption by encouraging acts of justice. Like Isaiah, we hope to inspire a renewed desire and effort for justice among Christian peoples around the world. Please join ‘Churches Together in Rome’ for our annual Prayer Service to Promote Christian Unity.

150th Anniversary of the Laying of the Cornerstone
We invite you to a Solemn Evensong to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone on Sunday, 29th of January 2023. While our actual 150th anniversary is on the 25th of January, the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, we will be celebrating with our ecumenical siblings at the Papal Vespers that evening and have chosen the 29th as a suitable alternative date.
The service begins at 18:30 and will be followed by a reception in the church.
