Choral Evensong for the feast of St. Mary Magdalene

A podcast service of Evensong from St. Paul’s to celebrate the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene.

The St. Paul’s Choir sing the Preces and Responses by Richard Ayleward, and Charles Wood’s Evening Service in G for men’s voices. The ‘Easter Sequence’ reminds us of the role of St. Mary Magdalene in the great Easter story, and organ scholar, Frederick Frostwick, continues the Easter narrative with J.S. Bach’s Easter ‘Orgelbüchlein’ chorale prelude, ‘Christ ist erstanden’ (BWV 627).
