Jesus’ invitation to reverse these societal norms … is about learning to see people as God sees them rather than always perceiving them through the world’s tinted optics of power.

How might we find opportunities to celebrate the way God’s grace abounds among us and allow God to work through us to raise up those who are bowed low in our world with God’s help?
Each day we have an opportunity to let the good fruit of justice and righteousness grow within us and among us as a people through the small but significant acts of mercy and kindness we do.
Every time we baptize a new member into the life, death, and resurrection of Christ… we have a chance to remember the central calling we all share.
The Ninth Sunday after Pentecost: Proper 14 – with Holy Baptism
When we reorient our lives on God, and we nurture the seeds of generosity in the garden of our hearts and communities rather than the weeds of greed, then we will eventually see the fruits of the kingdom maturing among us.
When we give ourselves over to the reorienting heart of the Lord’s Prayer, and any other form of prayer that channels its substance into our lives, the Lord we call upon begins to break the chains that bind us to lesser idols.
Are you willing to commit or recommit to the journey of spiritual transformation and maturity that we call following Christ?
