Dr. Buyung Hadi is an Indonesian entomologist working for FAO. He, Nita and their two children, Theonie and Akira, moved to Rome in March 2020, in the midst of COVID-19 lockdown. Upon searching for a church with an online service option, the family stumbled upon St. Paul’s Within The Walls’ YouTube-based service. After weeks of attending services incognito, Buyung and his family first met some of the parish members during a fellowship at the park event at Villa Celimontana in summer 2020. The idea of communion in century-old parks with friends and pets certainly struck a chord with Buyung and Nita. Since then, the family has called St. Paul’s Within the Walls their home church in Rome.
